Candle Care
Cerei Candle Care Guide
To become your candles best friend and keep its flame alive and clean, we've prepared a simple guide for proper use. By following these easy tips, you will ensure the ideal burn, maximize your candles fragrance and longevity, and prevent any potential problems.
The First Burn
The first time you light your candle, it is very important to let it burn for a long enough period until the entire surface of the wax becomes liquid and the melted wax reaches the sides of the container. This usually takes 2-4 hours. In this way, you prevent ‘’turning in the candle and ensure that in will burn evenly throughout its life.
Trim the Wick
Before each lighting, make sure to trim the wick, leaving it at a height of about 5 millimeters. A short wick provides a clean, steady flame and prevents the creation of black smoke (soot) on the container.
Don't Leave it Burning for Hours
For the best possible experience and to avoid overheating the container, we recommend not burning the candle for more than 4 consecutive hours. After this time, extinguish it, let it cool down, and then you can light it again.
Safety Above All
Never leave a lit candle unattended.
Keep it away from children, pets, and flammable materials (curtains, papers, etc.).
Place it on a fiat, stable, and heat-resistant surface.
Avoid lighting it in drafts, as this affects the burn and can cause the flame to
become unbalanced.
